Second Stakeholder Meeting / EU Talent Project

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), have a big role and potential in combatting youth unemployment by providing development and employment opportunities, such as offering apprenticeships. SMEs however often lack information, resources and/or experience in providing high quality apprenticeships. To support SMEs this EU Talent project aims to create support structures in the form of European & national learning networks.

CSR Turkey hosted several companies and institutions in the second stakeholder meeting. At the first section, EU Talent project and the skills gap concept presented by Huseyin Yilmaz. Following that Ceyhun Göcenoğlu, IBM Turk Corporate Citizenship Manager, gave information on new collar jobs and IBM’s international projects on skills and education. In the last part, discussions were made on the subjects. Also, representatives from Turkish Employment Agency and First Chance program made short speeches about their implementations and projects.
